Smith, PE focussed his regulatory compliance efforts primarily on the SPCC Rule, when significant changes were initiated and finally required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Since that time, Brett has performed SPCC Compliance Reviews and has prepared (and still prepares) SPCC Plans for more than 140 facilities with varying operational functions. Since 2003, Brett has been conducting aboveground tank inspections as a certified Steel Tank Institute Tank Inspector, utilizing the widely-accepted and recognized SP001 Tank Inspection Standard (JAN 2018).
